The Problem I Solve
If you've landed here, you already know the feeling: fluent on paper, frozen in the moment. I built the Confidence Bridge Method because I believe that gap deserves a real fix, not more grammar homework.
Why I understand this
I've spent over 10,000 hours working with adult professionals across Europe, South America, and beyond. And the pattern I kept seeing wasn't a knowledge problem. It was an access problem, language that existed in the library but couldn't make it to the stage when it counted. I'm also an introvert. I know what it feels like to have something to say and not be able to get it out in the moment. That's not a language failure. It's a psychology problem, and psychology is at the heart of everything I do.
Why I Created The Confidence Bridge Method
For years, I taught English the way I'd been trained to. Grammar drills. Vocabulary lists. Correcting all mistakes. I kept noticing the same pattern, over and over: clients who tested at C1 level on paper, falling apart the second real pressure hit. It wasn't a knowledge problem. They knew the grammar. The vocabulary was there. What was missing wasn't English, it was access to the English under pressure. That's when I stopped asking "what do they need to learn?" and started asking "what's actually stopping them from using what they already know?" The Confidence Bridge Method is the answer I built: psychology first, structured practice second, English third. Because once the freeze response is addressed, the language that was always there finally has somewhere to go.
What makes me different
I don't correct you mid-sentence. I don't run generic lessons from a textbook. And I'm not here to give you more vocabulary lists. The Confidence Bridge Method works on three things: the psychology behind freezing, real-world practice in high-stakes scenarios, and ongoing support so you're never working through it alone.
'It’s okay to be real. In fact, it’s more than okay, by making mistakes and giving what we know the chance to shine (instead of feeling not good enough) we learn more effectively and can go further, faster.'
Before coaching 10 years in marketing, an MSc from Northumbria University, and a CELTA and 120-hour TEFL qualification once I retrained in 2018. I haven't looked back since.
Why "real" matters to me I live with two lung conditions: asthma and bronchiectasis. Sometimes I have to step off mic mid-session. I mention this because it shaped something I bring into every session: the belief that imperfection is not a barrier.
Outside of coaching I'm a foster carer, so life is busy, full, and never dull. When I do get time to myself, you'll usually find me watching films, cooking, or unwinding at a soundbath.
