Personal information I collect and process, and why
Most of the personal information I process is provided to me directly by you, for one of the following reasons:
● 1-1 and group coaching students
● Slack community members
● Mailing list sign-up
● Website visits
1-1 and group coaching students
I collect your name, email address, and a contact telephone number. This data is stored securely in OneDrive cloud and in my booking system, Acuity Scheduling.
Video coaching sessions take place over Zoom. If you contact me by telephone or WhatsApp, your number will be stored on my phone and used for coaching purposes only.
Bookings and payments are made through Acuity Scheduling and processed via Stripe. You can choose to save your bank details in the system, but I do not have access to these. You can delete saved payment details at any time by logging in to your Acuity Scheduling account.
I make notes during sessions. These notes are kept in OneDrive cloud for me to access.
If you have indicated that you wish to join my mailing list, your name and email address will be stored in an email system called Brevo.
Slack community
If you are enrolled in a programme that includes access to The Confidence Bridge Community on Slack, you will be added to this workspace. Other members will be able to see your display name and any messages you post in shared channels.
You should notify me if another member contacts you privately in a way that concerns you. Please let me know if you do not want to be part of the community and I can remove you.
Mailing list
If you have signed up to my mailing list (via the contact form on my website, my programmes, or social media), your email address and name will be stored in Brevo, the email communication system I use. I will use this information to send you emails with updates, programme information, and any policy changes. You will not be added to any other email lists unless you subscribe to them.
I will never share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Each email gives you the option to unsubscribe. You can also ask me to stop sending you emails at any time by emailing abbie@theconfidencebridge.com.
Website visitors
Whilst using my website, I may collect information about you, such as your IP address, details about your browser, the amount of time you spend on pages, page views and navigation paths, the number of times you use my website, time zone settings, and other technical details about the devices you use to access my website. This data is sourced from Google Analytics.
This data is used to analyse use of my website, to deliver relevant content, and to understand the effectiveness of any advertising. This information is anonymous — it does not show who you are.
Who I will share your data with
UK transfers
I may share this information with service providers who provide IT and system administration services, and professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors, accountants, insurers, and government bodies that require me to report processing activities.
I require all third parties I transfer your data to, to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. I only allow third parties to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with my instructions. All data is anonymised where possible.
International transfers
Some of the third-party service providers I use, such as Brevo, Acuity Scheduling, Zoom, Slack, and Stripe, are based outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). Whenever I transfer your personal data outside the UK/EEA, I do my best to ensure a similar degree of security of data by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is in place:
● I only transfer your personal data to countries that the UK/European Commission have approved as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data; or
● Where I use certain service providers, I may rely on specific contracts, codes of conduct, or certification mechanisms approved for this purpose, which give personal data equivalent protection to that in the UK/EEA.
How long I will keep your personal data
I will only keep hold of your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes I collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
For tax purposes, the law requires me to keep basic information about my clients (including contact information, financial and transaction data) for six years after they stop being clients.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis I rely on for processing this information is your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting abbie@theconfidencebridge.com.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
● Your right of access — you can ask me for copies of your personal information.
● Your right to rectification — you can ask me to correct personal information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
